Advent

If your house is anything like mine, the tree is up, lights are hung, the Nativity is displayed, and the kids are crazy with anticipation.

This year I knew we needed a Christmas countdown, as my oldest will eventually drive me crazy asking if it's Christmas yet :)

I pinned many ideas for a countdown, but the basic chain ended up being the winner...but with a twist.

A blog I follow (ouroutofsynclife.blogspot.com) in connection with my preschool Curriculum (ABC Jesus Loves Me), posted recently about 25 promises of God. I decided to use those promises to countdown to Christmas.

In addition, I plan to reflect on each promise and how I can see God working in my life through each individual word/phrase. It is my prayer that these reflections will prepare my heart to celebrate the birth of my savior. It is my hope you will also be able to identify these promises in your own lives!

For those of you who want to study with me, tomorrow's promise is HOPE with the verse for meditation from Romans 15:13.

See you tomorrow!
